Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR Division in the Bristol area. You will work on pre-booked appointments at customers’ driveways and workplaces, following a structured schedule with no emergency callouts.

We offer a base salary of £40,170 with on-target earnings up to £52,000, plus guaranteed overtime and overtime bonuses. A 40-hour week, 1 in 4 Saturdays, and a fully equipped RAC van are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) is required.
• At least 2 years’ experience with light vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics on customer vehicles.
• Perform in-depth repairs you would typically complete in a workshop.
• Provide customer guidance and recommendations based on inspection findings.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.

Skills

5+ years experience as Vehicle Tech/Me

Full UK driving licence (≤6 points)

Education
