Job summary

RAC is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division to perform planned servicing and diagnostics on customers' vehicles at their driveways and workplaces across the Bridgwater cluster. You’ll operate with a pre-booked schedule, not emergency callouts, ensuring high-quality repairs and safety checks.

The role offers a base salary of £40,170 with earning potential up to £52,000 through bonuses and overtime, a full-time 40-hour week, and progression within a growing, structured service

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs that would normally be done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Perform vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
• Deliver pre-booked, organised work with a clear schedule.
