Job summary

RAC is seeking Mobile Mechanics to join the SMR team covering Bridgwater cluster areas, performing pre-booked servicing, diagnostics with advanced mobile equipment, and in-depth repairs at members' homes or workplaces.

You’ll work from a fully equipped RAC van with a clear schedule, delivering planned work with independence and on-going development in diagnostics and EV capabilities. 40-hour week, core hours, Saturday rota.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic or 5+ years' experience.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing of vehicles.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs that would normally be done in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
