Job summary

RAC in London is seeking a Mobile Vehicle Technician within our SMR Division. You’ll complete pre-booked servicing, diagnostics with mobile equipment, and in-depth repairs on customer vehicles at driveways, car parks, and workplaces.

You’ll work a 40-hour week, with core hours 8:30 to 17:00 and one in four Saturdays. Benefits include a competitive base salary of £45,378 (up to £57,000 OTE), guaranteed overtime, a full tools set, and a strong pension and life assurance package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In‑depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards

Education
