Job summary

The Education Authority in Antrim-Ballymena is seeking a Mobile Catering Assistant to support the school dining service across Clady, Kilrea and Maghera areas. You will help with food preparation, service delivery and dining room setup to ensure a hygienic, efficient operation for pupils and staff.

The role is part-time (20 hours per week) with flexible pattern shifts. You will follow safety regulations, assist with meal promotions, and coordinate with the central kitchen.

Qualifications

• Willingness to undertake job related training.
• Access to a suitable vehicle or alternative transport for mobility between bases.
• Evidence of effective leadership, communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Basic preparation of food and beverages and snacks.
• Simple cooking and reconstitution of prepared food.
• Organising and controlling food service points.
• Transferring and serving meals and snacks.
• Promoting meals to pupils, parents and staff.
• Liaising with the central kitchen regarding service delivery.
• Preparing dining area and setting tables, cutlery and items.
• General kitchen and dining room duties including cleaning.
• Recording temperatures for food safety where required.
• Ensuring premises are secured when required.
• Complying with relevant Acts and Codes of Practice.
