Job summary

Education Authority in Belfast is seeking a part-time Mobile Catering Assistant to support daily school meals services in West Belfast. You will assist with food prep, serve meals, and help maintain a clean and hygienic dining environment for pupils.

The role involves helping with meal promotions, coordinating service points and working patterns to meet the needs of the school meals kitchen. Training will be provided, with safeguarding obligations in place.

Qualifications

• Evidence of effective leadership and people management abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong planning, organisational and decision-making capabilities.
• Motivation to provide high-quality food and customer service for pupils.
• Experience in catering or customer service is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation and beverage service.
• Support simple cooking and reconstitution of prepared foods.
• Organise and control dining and service points.
• Transport and serve meals and snacks to pupils.
• Assist with promoting meals to pupils, parents and staff.
• Maintain hygiene by cleaning kitchen, servery and dining areas.
• Prepare dining area and set tables and serving points.
