Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults independently, resolve issues quickly and help members continue their journeys safely.

The role blends technical work with strong customer service, offering autonomy and development through structured learning and IMI accreditation opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults independently and help members continue their journeys safely.
• Combine technical expertise with outstanding customer service.
