Mobile Phone Repair Technician

Salary: £27,109.31 - £27,325.83 + commission

Location: Cardiff St David's

Overview of Position

At iSmash, we rescue customers from the panic of shattered screens, dead batteries, charging issues and much more. We understand how frustrating it feels when your device stops working. That’s why we connect with our customers on a personal level, put them at ease, and provide fast, reliable repairs that get them back online quickly. We’re looking for someone who is customer focused, hands‑on, and confident working with smartphones, tablets and mobile devices in a fast‑paced retail environment. This role suits someone who enjoys technology, has a strong eye for detail, and is comfortable carrying out high‑quality device repairs while delivering great customer service. This role reports to the In‑Store Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Repair smartphones and tablets, including screen replacements, battery replacements, camera repairs, charging issues and other common faults.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot device issues using your technical judgement.
• Provide clear advice and guidance to customers on repair options and solutions.
• Recommend suitable accessories and protection products.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a retail or customer‑facing environment.

• A proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
