Job summary

Horizon Parking Ltd is seeking a Mobile Patrol Officer to cover Andover and surrounding areas. This role is 35 hours per week across 5 days, with some weekend work and requires a UK driving licence and the ability to read number plates in daylight.

You will patrol car parks, issue notices as needed, maintain equipment, and assist customers while upholding safety and company policies. A company car and bonus scheme are included.

Responsibilities

• Travel to and from allocated sites within visit cycles as required.
• Patrol and monitor car parks, ensuring the area is tidy and secure.
• Maintain a professional image when dealing with third parties.
• Issue Parking Charge Notices in line with signage and regulations.
• Check parking equipment is in working order.
• Restock tickets, perform minor repairs and report faults.
• Perform preventative maintenance and replenish kiosks consumables.
• Improve accessibility for all site users.
• Manage abuse of parking facilities and provide customer service.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and carry out other duties as required.

What are we looking for?

- A reliable and trustworthy Mobile Patrol Officer, to work in Andover & its surrounding areas

- 35 hours per week, spread out across 5 days of the week (will include some weekend working)

- A qualified driver who must be able to meet the Highway Code eyesight test requirements. Candidates must be able to read a vehicle number plate from a distance of 20 metres (65 feet) in good daylight, as stipulated by UK legislation. This is to ensure that all our drivers can perform their duties safely and in compliance with legal standards.

What will we expect in return?

• Travel to and from allocated sites within visit cycles provided, and/or as required.
• Patrol and monitor car parks, ensuring the car park is tidy and clean at all times.
• Maintain a professional image when dealing with third parties.
• Issue Parking Charge Notices as and when required, in line with the contraventions set out in the terms and conditions signage within the car park.
• Check if parking equipment is in working order.
• Restock machines with tickets, undertake minor repairs and maintenance of machines and report any faults to the Line Manager.
• Perform preventative maintenance and replenishment of consumables within payment and validation kiosks.
• Improve accessibility for all site users.
• Management of abuse of parking facilities.
• Provide excellent customer services and assist customers as and when required.
• Carry out duties in line with company health and safety policies and follow safe working practices.
• Carry out any other tasks and instructions as and when required.
