Job summary

Horizon Parking Ltd in Manchester is seeking a reliable Mobile Patrol Officer to monitor car parks across the area and its surroundings, ensuring security, safety and top customer service during patrols.

The role is 40 hours per week across five days, with some weekend work. A full UK driving licence and the ability to read number plates from 20 metres are essential. Salary £13.10 per hour plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence required.
• Ability to read a vehicle number plate from 20 metres (65 feet).

Responsibilities

• Travel to and from allocated sites within visit cycles.
• Patrol and monitor car parks, ensuring the car park is tidy and clean at all times.
• Maintain a professional image when dealing with third parties.
• Issue Parking Charge Notices as required, per terms and signage.
• Check parking equipment is working and report faults.
• Restock machines with tickets and perform minor repairs on kiosks.
• Undertake preventative maintenance and replenish consumables in kiosks.
• Improve accessibility for site users.
• Manage abuse of parking facilities and ensure safety compliance.
• Provide excellent customer service and assistance as needed.
• Follow health and safety policies and perform other tasks as required.

What are we looking for?

• A reliable and trustworthy Mobile Patrol Officer, to work in Manchester & its surrounding areas
• 40 hours per week, spread out over any 5 days of the week (will include some weekend working)
• A qualified driver who must be able to meet the Highway Code eyesight test requirements. Candidates must be able to read a vehicle number plate from a distance of 20 metres (65 feet) in good daylight, as stipulated by UK legislation. This is to ensure that all our drivers can perform their duties safely and in compliance with legal standards.

What will we expect in return?

• Travel to and from allocated sites within visit cycles provided, and/or as required.
• Patrol and monitor car parks, ensuring the car park is tidy and clean at all times.
• Maintain a professional image when dealing with third parties.
• Issue Parking Charge Notices as and when required, in line with the contraventions set out in the terms and conditions signage within the car park.
• Check if parking equipment is in working order.
• Restock machines with tickets, undertake minor repairs and maintenance of machines and report any faults to the Line Manager.
• Perform preventative maintenance and replenishment of consumables within payment and validation kiosks.
• Improve accessibility for all site users.
• Management of abuse of parking facilities.
• Provide excellent customer services and assist customers as and when required.
• Carry out duties in line with company health and safety policies and follow safe working practices.
• Carry out any other tasks and instructions as and when required.
