Job summary

Horizon Parking Ltd in Bristol is seeking a Mobile Patrol Officer to patrol car parks, keep sites tidy, and present a professional image when dealing with the public.

You will travel between allocated sites within visit cycles, work 40 hours per week across five days (including some weekends), and need a full UK driving licence and the ability to read a vehicle number plate from 20 metres in daylight.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must meet Highway Code eyesight test and be able to read a vehicle number plate from 20 metres in daylight.

Responsibilities

• Travel to and from allocated sites within visit cycles.

What are we looking for?

• A reliable and trustworthy Mobile Patrol Officer, to work in Bristol & its surrounding areas
• 40 hours per week, spread out over any 5 days of the week (will include some weekend working)
• A qualified driver who must be able to meet the Highway Code eyesight test requirements. Candidates must be able to read a vehicle number plate from a distance of 20 metres (65 feet) in good daylight, as stipulated by UK legislation. This is to ensure that all our drivers can perform their duties safely and in compliance with legal standards.

What will we expect in return?

• Travel to and from allocated sites within visit cycles provided, and/or as required.
• Patrol and monitor car parks, ensuring the car park is tidy and clean at all times.
• Maintain a professional image when dealing with third parties.
• Issue Parking Charge Notices as and when required, in line with the contraventions set out in the terms and conditions signage within the car park.
• Check if parking equipment is in working order.
• Restock machines with tickets, undertake minor repairs and maintenance of machines and report any faults to the Line Manager.
• Perform preventative maintenance and replenishment of consumables within payment and validation kiosks.
• Improve accessibility for all site users.
• Management of abuse of parking facilities.
• Provide excellent customer services and assist customers as and when required.
• Carry out duties in line with company health and safety policies and follow safe working practices.
• Carry out any other tasks and instructions as and when required.
