Job summary

Skillmatch Recruitment Ltd are recruiting on behalf of a leading facilities management contractor in the UK for a Mobile Mechanical Engineer role in North West London/Wembley. You will deliver planned and reactive FM maintenance across sites, focusing on mechanical systems and compliance.

You'll carry out PPMs, reactive maintenance, fault finding on AHUs, FCUs, water systems, and support booster sets. Aactive on-call regional work and relevant Level 2/3 plumbing or HVAC qualifications are

• High standard of fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPMs and reactive maintenance across North West London.
• Service, maintain and repair mechanical and ventilation installations (AHUs, FCUs, water systems).
• Maintain booster sets, chlorinators and water heaters.
• Complete accurate inspection logs and remedial records on time.
• Deliver high levels of service and professionalism for the client.

Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Mobile Mechanical Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.

As the Mobile Mechanical Engineer, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.

The Mobile Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for:

• Carry out PPMs, reactive maintenance and fault‑finding tasks across North West London
• Service, maintain and repair plumbing and ventilation installations, including AHUs, intake/extract systems, thermal wheels, FCUs and water system assets.
• Maintain and support systems such as booster sets, chlorifiers, and water heaters.
• Deliver consistently high levels of service and professionalism for the client.
• Complete all work‑related documentation accurately and on time, including inspection logs and remedial records.

To be successful for this Mobile Mechanical Engineer role you must have:

• A background in facilities management or mobile maintenance.
• Experience working on‑call across a region.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Plumbing or Heating & Ventilation qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Experience in commercial building maintenance from a mechanical engineering perspective.
• Willingness to undergo security clearances.
