Job summary

Skilled Careers is seeking a skilled Mobile Mechanical Engineer to cover London and the Home Counties. The role involves delivering planned and reactive maintenance across commercial properties, with a focus on fault finding, repairs and safe operation.

You will work across multiple sites, carrying out maintenance on mechanical plant, AHUs/FCUs, boilers and water systems, and you will be responsible for accurate reporting and liaising with clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical or Building Services Engineer.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience within commercial building services or facilities management.
• Experience working on a range of mechanical plant.
• Good understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Reactive maintenance and breakdown response.
• Fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.
• Working on pumps, valves, pipework and heating systems.
• Maintenance of AHUs and FCUs.
• Basic maintenance of boilers and associated plant.
• Working on hot and cold water systems.
• Plant room maintenance.
• Small mechanical repairs and remedial works.
• Completing accurate job sheets and maintenance reports.
• Identifying additional works and remedial requirements.
• Liaising professionally with clients and site teams.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with relevant regulations.

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking for a mobile role covering London and the Home Counties

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Mobile Mechanical Engineer to join a growing team, working across a varied portfolio of commercial properties.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical and building services equipment. Working across multiple sites, you will carry out fault finding, repairs and maintenance while ensuring all works are completed to a high standard.
