Job summary

R&A Consultants Ltd is seeking a Mobile Mechanical Engineer to service and repair mechanical building services across commercial sites in North London. You’ll work Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with a salary up to £45,000 plus overtime, plus a company van and fuel card.

Ideal candidates hold City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 in mechanical or plumbing, have experience in commercial building services, strong fault-finding skills, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 in a Mechanical or Plumbing discipline.
• Experience working within commercial building services or facilities maintenance.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills across mechanical building services systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Proactive, reliable and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical building services systems.
• Service, maintain, and fault find on HVAC plant, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, valves, pipework, pressurisation units, and general plant room equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults, carry out repairs, and ensure all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with statutory compliance requirements.
• Complete routine inspections, plant checks, filter changes, and minor mechanical installations and repairs.
• Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
• Maintain accurate service records and deliver a high standard of customer service across all sites.
