Job summary

Skillmatch Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a leading facilities management contractor in the UK. This diverse role covers maintenance on plumbing, ventilation, heating and cooling systems, with opportunities for long term career progression.

Applicants should have maintenance or FM experience, City & Guilds Level 2/3 (or equivalent), and a solid understanding of health & safety. You will report via IT systems and work safely on site, building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience working in maintenance or facilities management environments.
• City & Guilds Level 2/3 (or equivalent).
• Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Comfortable using IT systems and mobile devices for reporting and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on plumbing, ventilation (AHUs, extract/intake), heating and cooling systems (FCUs, thermal wheels), and water assets (booster sets, calorifiers, water heaters)
• Identify and report defects, ensuring all documentation, inspection reports and remedial logs are completed accurately and on time
• Respond to client queries and deliver a high standard of customer service at all times
• Work safely in line with Health & Safety regulations, Permit to Work and safe systems of work, including tasks at height
