Job summary

Holt Recruitment is seeking a Mobile HGV Technician for coverage across the Heartfordshire area, based around Hemel Hempstead. You will service, maintain and repair HGVs at customer sites and respond to roadside breakdowns on a callout rota.

The role offers independence, variety, and strong earning potential. The ideal candidate has NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, proven diagnostic skills, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is required.
• Experience as HGV Technician or mobile HGV Technician is preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities are essential.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Ability to work independently in client locations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs at customer sites.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise downtime.
• Attend breakdowns as part of on-call rota.
• Ensure work complies with industry regulations and quality standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service while working independently.

Pay: Up to £60,000 Per year

Shifts: Monday to Friday dayshifts (Plus Callout Rota)

Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a mobile role that offers excellent earning potential, independence, and variety? We're looking for a skilled technician to join our team, covering the Heartfordshire area. As a Mobile HGV Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of heavy goods vehicles at customer sites, as well as attending roadside breakdowns as part of a callout rota.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same.

Mobile HGV Technician Responisibilites:

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs at customer locations.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.
• Attend breakdowns as part of an on-call rota.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
• Deliver excellent customer service while working independently in the field.

What you’ll need to be a Mobile HGV Technician:

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Mobile HGV Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Full UK driving licence.
