Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Mobile HGV Technician based from home, covering Upminster and the surrounding area. You will work 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with core hours 7:00am to 6:30pm, and be paid up to £52,400 basic plus van and overtime.

Industry leading training is offered from day 1, including 2 weeks in an office environment and 1 week shadowing with an existing mobile HGV Technician.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience on heavy goods vehicles.
• UK valid driving licence.
• Mobile HGV experience is advantageous.
• GSE experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and repairs on trucks and commercial vehicles.
• Carry out inspections and diagnostic checks.
• Work at customer sites with or without workshop facilities.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Record accurate repair reports.

Mobile HGV Technician opportunity

Due to increased business levels our specialist fleet maintenance company is looking to add an additional mobile HGV technician to the team. As a mobile HGV Technician you will be based from home covering Upminster and the surrounding area.

You will work 48 hours per week between the core hours of 7.00am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday.

Duties of the Mobile HGV Technician

• Perform a variety of routine servicing, inspections and subsequent repairs to a variety of trucks and commercial vehicles
• Perform visual or operational checks to locate worn, dirty or maladjusted parts.
• Carry out technical inspections or use technical manuals and diagnostic techniques to find and repair inoperable or defective machine parts, components or systems using a small variety of test equipment.
• Will be required to undertake thorough inspections of accident damaged machines and produce accurate reports to enable repair.
• In this mobile HGV technician role you will be working on customer sites with or without workshop facilities being available for use

Experience/skills required for the Mobile HGV Technician

• Previous experience working on a range of heavy goods vehicles
• Any previous mobile HGV technician experience would be beneficial
• Any experience gained working on GSE would be an advantage
• UK valid driving licence
