Job summary

AutoSkills (United Kingdom) is seeking an experienced Mobile HGV Mechanic to service and repair HGV trucks and trailers from a fully equipped mobile workshop. The role is based in Leicester with a flexible start/finish pattern and a 45-hour week, plus overtime opportunities.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, carry out preventive maintenance, and attend roadside breakdowns when required. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and a Full UK Driving Licence are preferred; you should be able

Qualifications

• Experience on HGV trucks and trailers.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience with trailer repairs.
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and preventative maintenance on HGVs and trailers.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and braking faults.
• Carrying out trailer repairs.
• Attending roadside breakdowns when required.
• Preparing vehicles for MOT and ensuring they remain compliant.
• Using modern diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults.
• Completing accurate service and repair records.
• Providing excellent customer service and representing the business professionally.

The Role
