Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare is hiring a Mobile Funeral Arranger to cover Northallerton, Thirsk, Ripon, Harrogate, Wetherby and York. The role is full-time with 37.5 hours per week, offering a competitive salary and benefits. You will travel to client sites, build relationships, and coordinate funeral arrangements with care and professionalism.

No prior funeral experience is required as full training is provided, along with a comprehensive benefits package and pension contributions.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Ability to work independently and travel to client meetings.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Comfort with basic calculations, cash handling and invoicing.

Responsibilities

• Travel to meet clients and build relationships with the community.
• Support clients in person and over the phone, arranging family visits and answering questions.
• Ensure the funeral home is clean, safe and welcoming, reporting maintenance needs.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work (funeral plans) to the Funeral Plan Arrangers team.
• Assist with manual handling of coffins and care of the deceased as required.
• Update client management applications with accurate information.
