Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare is looking for a mobile role supporting funeral services across Cambridge and Suffolk. The position runs full time (37.5 hours, Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) with training provided and emphasis on compassionate client service.

You will travel between locations, assist with arrangements, and help maintain a respectful, professional environment. Applicants should be comfortable with the physical aspects of the role and have a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Comfort with direct contact with the deceased as part of duties.
• Ability to travel between Cambridge and Suffolk funeral homes.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic cash handling and invoicing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Travel to meet clients and build relationships in the community.
• Support clients in person and over the phone, arranging family visits and answering questions.
• Keep funeral home clean, safe and welcoming, and report maintenance issues.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work (funeral plans) to the Funeral Plan Arrangers team.
• Assist in care and preparation of the deceased (hair, make-up, moving) with training.
• Update client management applications with accurate information.
