Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare is recruiting a Mobile Funeral Arranger on a 12 month fixed term contract. The role involves visiting clients across 16 branches in Nottingshire, with duties including preparation, transport, and care of the deceased, while ensuring health and safety standards are met.

You will work 18.75 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) with full training provided. A full manual UK driving licence is required, and a competitive salary of £13.47 per hour plus benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Ability to work independently and manage a branch when needed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and colleagues.
• Numerical ability for cash handling, discounts, data entry and invoicing.
• Strong eye for detail to ensure regulatory policies are followed.
• Good IT skills to use multiple devices and new applications.
• Passion for delivering great service and building relationships.
• High levels of empathy, discretion and care.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including moving coffins with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Travel to meet clients and build relationships with communities.
• Support clients in person and by phone, arranging family visits and answering questions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming funeral home environment and report maintenance issues.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work (funeral plans) to Funeral Plan Arrangers team.
• Assist with manual handling and preparation of the deceased as required.
• Update client management applications with accurate information.
