Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare is hiring a Mobile Funeral Arranger to cover branches across Dumbarton, Alexandria and surrounding areas. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with a salary of £26,266 per annum plus benefits.

You will travel to meet clients, arrange visits, manage family arrangements and ensure a professional, respectful environment for viewing and ceremonies. No prior funeral industry experience is required as full training is provided, along with a competitive pension, staff

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Ability to travel to meet clients and manage a branch independently.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to perform basic calculations and cash handling.
• Attention to detail and compliance with regulatory policies.
• Proficient IT skills across devices and systems.
• Empathy, discretion and care.
• Comfort with physical tasks including lifting coffins after training.

Responsibilities

• Travel to meet clients and build community relationships.
• Support clients in person and over the phone, arranging visits.
• Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming funeral home environment.
• Use digital systems to manage client documents and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work to Funeral Plan Arrangers team.
• Assist with manual handling of coffins and preparation of the deceased.
• Update client management applications with accurate records.
