Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare in Scotland is seeking a Mobile Funeral Arranger for a full-time, mobile role covering Dumbarton and nearby branches. A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel are essential.

You will handle funeral arrangements with professionalism, dignity and respect, maintaining clear communication with families. Training is provided, and you’ll work with digital systems to manage client documentation and invoicing, supporting the care and preparation of the deceased.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle basic calculations and cash handling.
• Empathy, discretion and care in dealing with families and the deceased.
• Comfort with physical aspects of the role and manual handling when required.
• Comfort with using IT devices and multiple digital systems.

Responsibilities

• Travel to meet clients and build relationships within the community.
• Support clients in person and by phone, arranging family visits and answering questions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming funeral home environment and report maintenance issues.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work like funeral plans to the Funeral Plan Arrangers team.
• Assist with manual handling of coffins and preparation of the deceased for viewing.
• Update client management applications with accurate information.
