Co-op Funeralcare is hiring a Mobile Funeral Arranger in the Newcastle-under-Lyme area. The role is part-time, 18.75 hours per week, with a £13.47 per hour rate and various shifts Monday to Friday.

The mobile position covers several nearby towns and requires a full UK driving licence. You will travel to meet clients, arrange visits, maintain a professional environment at branches, and use digital systems for documentation and invoicing.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Ability to work alone or manage a branch when needed.
• Strong communication, written and verbal.
• Numeracy skills for cash handling and invoicing.
• Attention to detail and regulatory compliance.
• Willingness to learn new IT systems and apps.
• Empathy and discretion in handling sensitive situations.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including moving coffins with training.

Responsibilities

• Travel to meet clients and build community relationships.
• Support clients in person and by phone, arranging family visits.
• Keep funeral home clean, safe and welcoming; report maintenance needs.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work to Funeral Plan Arrangers team.
• Assist with handling coffins and preparation for viewing.
• Update client management applications with accurate records.
