Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare is seeking a part-time role covering several areas around Newcastle-under-Lyme. The role involves travel to meet clients and provide in-person and phone support, ensuring a respectful, professional environment at the branch and during arrangements.

Full UK driving licence is essential, with training provided. You will handle duties including preparation, transportation, and care of the deceased, while maintaining accuracy in records and invoices.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence is essential.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.
• Comfort with manual handling and basic data entry.
• Comfort with physically demanding tasks related to funeral care.

Responsibilities

• Travel to meet clients and build positive community relationships.
• Support clients in person and by phone, arranging family visits and answering questions.
• Keep the funeral home clean, safe and welcoming, reporting maintenance issues.
• Use digital devices to manage client documentation and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work to Funeral Plan Arrangers team and assist in care/preparation of the deceased.
