Job summary

An automotive recruitment agency is seeking a Mobile Fleet Technician to travel to various customer sites for vehicle maintenance and repairs. This position requires a fully qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician or relevant apprenticeship experience. Qualifications

  • Perform callouts to client sites.

Overview

Mobile Fleet Technician - Basingstoke

Day shifts Monday to Friday

Are you ready to go on the road and take your technical skills to a dedicated network of customer sites? If so, then this could be the role for you. We are looking for a self motivated and independent Vehicle Engineer who can travel to our clients various workshops in a designated area providing:

Day shifts - 45 hour week

In this role, no 2 days will ever be the same and the products that you work on will be diverse. HGVs, Ground Support GSE, RORO (Roll on Roll Off), Fire and Rescue, Tractors and Tugs plus other bespoke operating platforms.

We are looking for a self motivated and independent HGV Vehicle Engineer who can travel to our clients various workshops in a designated area providing:

Responsibilities
  • Callouts
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Emergency Breakdowns
  • Pre-arranged servicing at rural sites
  • MOT Preparation
  • Engine work and diagnostic investigations
  • Correction of running defects
  • Chassis and fabrication work
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Improvement of vehicle standards
  • Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections
Qualifications

Your industry is moving faster with every day that passes. Electric & Hydrogen Vehicles are now part of the present and you will be trained on the newest products and repair techniques when required.

A Class2 Licence would be beneficial.

You will need to be a fully qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician or have been accredited via an authorised Apprenticeship.

Benefits

Location & Roles

You will be travelling within an area of North London and Essex. You will require an excellent understanding of vehicle technology, and be capable of following the repair process from fault analysis to completion.

We require a problem solver with a can-do mindset. Abiding by health and safety rules. The personal qualities sought are reliable and punctual; enthusiastic, proactive and an innovative thinker. The role may involve work on HGV, heavy goods vehicle, commercial vehicle, RCV, refuse collection vehicle, tipper, sweeper, gritter, and related workshop duties.
