Job summary

James Lewis Recruitment seeks a Mobile Electrician / Electrical Engineer for roving electrical installation work across retail and commercial sites nationwide. The role covers fast-track fit-outs, refurbishments and live trading environments, with a strong earning potential and weekly pay.

The position offers 37.5-hour baseline with often 50–80 hours per week, requiring travel across the UK and occasional short stays away from home. A valid Gold Card and UK driving license are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Gold Card (ECS or CSCS)
• Qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineer with installation experience
• Retail fit-out experience ideal for fast-track projects or live environments
• Willing to travel nationally and stay away occasionally when required

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation works across retail, hospitality and commercial fit-out projects.
• Work on fast-track refurbishments, rollouts, small works and planned installation schemes.
• Install containment, cabling, lighting, power, distribution and associated electrical systems.
• Support testing, inspection, snagging, remedials and handover.
• Read drawings and site information to deliver installations correctly.
• Work safely in live or fast-moving retail environments.
• Liaise with site managers, project managers and client representatives.
• Keep accurate records of works and materials.
• Travel to projects across the UK when required; stay away occasionally when project demands it.
