Job summary
James Lewis Recruitment invites applications for a mobile Electrician / Electrical Engineer role, covering nationwide retail and hospitality projects. Earn £24.85 per hour plus a van, fuel card and generous benefits, with real earnings around £62,500–£96,400 yearly before tax based on 50–80 hours per week and 33 days’ holiday.
The role requires a Gold Card (ECS/CSCS), installation experience and willingness to travel nationally.
Qualifications
- Valid Gold Card (ECS or CSCS) required.
- Qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineer with installation experience.
- Retail fit-out experience is a plus, especially fast-track projects.
- Testing/inspection knowledge (2391/2394/2395 or equivalent) is beneficial.
- Able to work independently and travel to different sites.
- Must have a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installation works across retail and commercial sites.
- Work on fast-track refurbishments, rollouts and planned installation schemes.
- Install containment, cabling, lighting, power and distribution.
- Support testing, inspection, snagging and handover activities.
- Read drawings and site information to deliver installations correctly.
- Work safely in live retail environments and coordinate with managers.
- Liaise with site managers, project managers and client reps.
- Travel to projects across the UK as required and stay away when needed.
