Job summary

E-ppl Ltd in Ashchurch, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire presents a 6-month Outside IR35 contract for a Military Mechanic. You will join a forces-friendly workshop, performing inspections, maintenance and repairs on military platforms to meet MEIs and regulatory standards.

The role offers an hourly rate of £22.00 total, including a £5.00 living allowance, with weekly pay and on-site tools provided. Excellent local commute from Cheltenham and surrounding towns is available.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications: NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 (or military trade proficiency certificates).
• Security clearance: eligible for BPSS clearance (sponsored by E-ppl).
• Experience: hands-on mechanical experience with military, light or heavy vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspections, routine maintenance, and repair tasks.
• Complete defect rectifications ahead of MEIs.
• Execute platform upgrades, reworks, and fault-finding.
• Maintain workshop safety and compliance protocols.

Military Mechanic | Outside IR35 Contract

Location: Ashchurch, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire

Contract: 6-Month Contract (High Potential for Extension)

• Total Hourly Earnings: £22.00/hr total (£17.00 base + £5.00/hr living allowance for the project duration).
• Weekly Pay: Reliable, prompt weekly payments.
• Overtime Available: Boost your weekly earnings with extra hours.
• All Tools Provided: Standard and specialist mechanical tooling supplied on-site—no need to transport your personal toolkit.

Join E-ppl Ltd on a key fleet maintenance and sustainment contract in Ashchurch. You will work within an experienced, forces-friendly workshop team ensuring vehicle platforms are maintained to military and regulatory standards.

• Perform mechanical inspections, routine maintenance, and repair tasks.
• Complete defect rectifications ahead of Mandatory Equipment Inspections (MEIs).
• Execute platform upgrades, reworks, and fault-finding.
• Maintain workshop safety and compliance protocols.

Location & Commute

Located right off M5 Junction 9 / A46. Excellent local commutable access from Cheltenham, Gloucester, Worcester, Evesham, Redditch, and Tewkesbury.

Requirements

To be considered, candidates must provide proof of one of the following:

• Trade Qualifications: Proof of NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 (or Military Trade Proficiency Certificates — e.g., REME Vehicle Mechanic Class 1/2, Armourer Class 1/2, or RAF/RN equivalent).
• Security Clearance: Must be eligible for BPSS Clearance (fully sponsored and managed by E-ppl).
• Experience: Hands‑on mechanical experience with military vehicles, light vehicles, or heavy equipment.
