Job summary

e-ppl Ltd is recruiting for a Military Mechanic on an Outside IR35 6-month contract in Ashchurch. You will perform inspections, routine maintenance, and repairs on military platforms, ensuring MEIs pass and upgrades/ fault-finding are completed. Tools are supplied on-site, with a base rate of £17.00/hr plus £5.00/hr living allowance.

The role offers extra overtime, weekly pay, and a chance to join a forces-friendly workshop team committed to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Proof of relevant trade qualifications (NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds Level 2 or 3) or military equivalents.
• Security clearance: eligible for BPSS clearance (sponsored by E-ppl).
• Hands-on mechanical experience with military/light/heavy vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspections, routine maintenance and repairs.
• Complete defect rectifications ahead of Mandatory Equipment Inspections (MEIs).
• Execute platform upgrades, reworks and fault-finding.
• Maintain workshop safety and compliance protocols.

NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 (or Military Trade Proficiency Certificates — REME Vehicle Mechanic Class 1/2, Armourer Class 1/2, or RAF/RN equivalent)

Contract: 6-Month Contract (High Potential for Extension)

Shift: Mon–Thu 07:30–16:30 | Fri 07:30–13:00 (13:00 Friday Stand-Down)

Join E-ppl Ltd on a key fleet maintenance and sustainment contract in Ashchurch. You will work within an experienced, forces-friendly workshop team ensuring vehicle platforms are maintained to military and regulatory standards.

Location & Commute

Located right off M5 Junction 9 / A46. Excellent local commutable access from Cheltenham, Gloucester, Worcester, Evesham, Redditch, and Tewkesbury.

To be considered, candidates must provide proof of one of the following:

• Trade Qualifications: Proof of NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 (or Military Trade Proficiency Certificates — e.g., REME Vehicle Mechanic Class 1/2, Armourer Class 1/2, or RAF/RN equivalent).
• Security Clearance: Must be eligible for BPSS Clearance (fully sponsored and managed by E-ppl).
• Experience: Hands-on mechanical experience with military vehicles, light vehicles, or heavy equipment.
