Job summary

e-ppl Ltd invites applications from skilled Military Mechanics for an Outside IR35 contract based in Donnington, Shropshire. The role covers servicing, inspections and repairs on military fleet platforms, with full on-site tooling supplied.

The position requires relevant trade qualifications, BPSS clearance, and prior experience in military/defence vehicle environments. 6-month contract with potential extension and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 or equivalent military trade certificates.
• Security clearance: BPSS (fully sponsored by E-ppl).
• Experience in military, defence, or commercial vehicle environments.
• Demonstrated mechanical servicing, inspection, and repair capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out systematic mechanical servicing, inspections, and repairs.
• Complete rectification work ahead of MEIs (Mandatory Equipment Inspections).
• Perform reworks, equipment upgrades, and defect resolution.
• Ensure strict adherence to H&S and workshop standards.

Location: Donnington, Telford, Shropshire

Pay Rate: £17.00/hr Base Rate + £5.00/hr Living Allowance (£22.00/hr Total Rate) | Paid Weekly

Contract: 6-Month Contract (High Potential for Extension)

IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Shift: Mon–Thu 07:30–16:30 | Fri 07:30–13:00 (13:00 Friday Stand-Down)

Join E-ppl Ltd on a major fleet maintenance project based at Donnington. Working in a supportive team environment, you will play a vital role in maintaining the operational readiness of military fleet platforms.

• Carry out systematic mechanical servicing, inspections, and repairs.

Location & Commute

Situated in Donnington (Telford) with fast transport links via the M54, A442, and A5. Ideal for engineers based in Telford, Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Cannock, and Stafford.

To be considered, candidates must provide proof of one of the following:

• Trade Qualifications: Proof of NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 (or Military Trade Proficiency Certificates — e.g., REME Vehicle Mechanic Class 1/2, Armourer Class 1/2, or RAF/RN equivalent).
• Security Clearance: Must be eligible for BPSS Clearance (fully sponsored and managed by E-ppl).
• Experience: Mechanical trade experience within military, defence, or commercial vehicle environments.
