Job summary

E-ppl Ltd is seeking a Military Mechanic for an Outside IR35 6-month contract in Ashchurch, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. The role involves servicing military vehicle platforms to regulatory standards, performing inspections, and carrying out repairs in a forces-friendly workshop.

You will work Mon–Thu and a shorter Friday shift, with a total hourly rate of £22.00 (£17 base + £5 living allowance), paid weekly. Tools provided and potential extension.

Qualifications

• NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 or Military Trade Proficiency Certificates.
• Security clearance: BPSS eligibility supported by employer.
• Experience: Hands-on mechanical experience with military vehicles, light vehicles or heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspections, routine maintenance and repair tasks.
• Complete defect rectifications ahead of Mandatory Equipment Inspections (MEIs).
• Execute platform upgrades, reworks and fault-finding.
• Maintain workshop safety and compliance protocols.

Pay Rate: £17.00/hr Base Rate + £5.00/hr Living Allowance (£22.00/hr Total Rate) | Paid Weekly

Contract: 6-Month Contract (High Potential for Extension)

IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Shift: Mon–Thu 07:30–16:30 | Fri 07:30–13:00 (13:00 Friday Stand-Down)

Join E-ppl Ltd on a key fleet maintenance and sustainment contract in Ashchurch. You will work within an experienced, forces-friendly workshop team ensuring vehicle platforms are maintained to military and regulatory standards.

Located right off M5 Junction 9 / A46. Excellent local commutable access from Cheltenham, Gloucester, Worcester, Evesham, Redditch, and Tewkesbury.

Requirements

To be considered, candidates must provide proof of one of the following:

• Trade Qualifications: Proof of NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 (or Military Trade Proficiency Certificates — e.g., REME Vehicle Mechanic Class 1/2, Armourer Class 1/2, or RAF/RN equivalent).
• Security Clearance: Must be eligible for BPSS Clearance (fully sponsored and managed by E-ppl).
• Experience: Hands‑on mechanical experience with military vehicles, light vehicles, or heavy equipment.
