Job summary

E-ppl Ltd is seeking a Mechanic for an Outside IR35 6-month contract in Ashchurch, Gloucestershire. You will support fleet maintenance, ensuring mechanical integrity, safety, and regulatory compliance for Stored and Sustainment Fleet platforms.

Earn £22.00/hr total (£17.00 base + £5.00 living allowance) with weekly payments and on-site tools provided. Early finish Fridays and opportunities for extension are noted.

Qualifications

• NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Proven background as a Mechanic (Fleet, Commercial, or Ex-Forces preferred).
• BPSS Security Clearance eligibility (fully sponsored).

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspections, routine servicing, and repairs across fleet platforms.
• Complete rectification work ahead of Mandatory Equipment Inspections.
• Execute fleet upgrades, reworks, and resolve defects identified during quality examinations.
• Maintain adherence to site Health & Safety guidelines.

Mechanic | Outside IR35 Contract

Location: Ashchurch, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire GL20 8LZ

Pay: £17.00/hr Base Rate + £5.00/hr Living Allowance (£22.00/hr Total) | Paid Weekly

Contract: 6-Month Contract (High Potential for Extension)

IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Shift: Mon–Thu 07:30–16:30 | Fri 07:30–13:00 (Early Friday Finish!)

About the Role

Join E-ppl Ltd as a Mechanic on a critical fleet maintenance project in Ashchurch, working alongside a skilled, supportive team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the operational readiness, safety, and regulatory compliance of Stored and Sustainment Fleet platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspections, routine servicing, and repairs across designated fleet platforms.

Situated conveniently in Ashchurch (Tewkesbury) with immediate access to the M5 (Junction 9) and A46.

• Local Commuters: Easily accessible from Cheltenham, Gloucester, Worcester, Evesham, Redditch, and the wider Gloucestershire/Worcestershire area.

To be considered for this role, candidates must provide proof of the following:

• Qualifications: Valid proof of NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds (or equivalent) Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Experience: Proven background as a Mechanic (Fleet, Commercial, or Ex-Forces/Military vehicle background strongly preferred).
• Clearance: Must be eligible for BPSS Security Clearance (fully sponsored, managed, and paid for by E-ppl).
