Job summary

E-ppl Ltd. seeks an experienced fleet mechanic to perform inspections, servicing, and repairs across multiple fleet platforms at Ashchurch, Tewkesbury. You will ensure operational readiness, safety, and regulatory compliance on-site, working with a supportive team.

The role requires NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds L2/3 in light vehicle maintenance, plus a strong background in fleet or commercial vehicles and BPSS clearance eligibility. This contract offers weekly pay and a Friday finish.

Qualifications

• NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Experience as Mechanic (Fleet/Commercial/Ex-Forces preferred).
• Eligible for BPSS Security Clearance (sponsored by employer).

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical inspections, routine servicing, and repairs across fleet platforms.
• Complete rectification work ahead of Mandatory Equipment Inspections.
• Execute fleet upgrades, reworks, and resolve defects found in quality checks.
• Maintain strict adherence to site Health & Safety guidelines.

Job description

Location: Ashchurch, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire GL20 8LZ

Contract: 6-Month Contract (High Potential for Extension)

Shift: Mon–Thu 07:30–16:30 | Fri 07:30–13:00 (Early Friday Finish!)

• Total Hourly Rate: £22.00/hr total (£17.00 base rate + £5.00/hr living allowance for the duration of the project).
• Weekly Pay: Reliable, weekly payments.
• Overtime Available: Earn extra on top of your standard hours.
• No Tool Hauling: All tools and equipment provided on-site—just bring your standard coveralls and boots!

About the Role

Join E-ppl Ltd as a Mechanic on a critical fleet maintenance project in Ashchurch, working alongside a skilled, supportive team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the operational readiness, safety, and regulatory compliance of Stored and Sustainment Fleet platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical inspections, routine servicing, and repairs across designated fleet platforms.
• Complete rectification work ahead of Mandatory Equipment Inspections.
• Execute fleet upgrades, reworks, and resolve defects identified during quality examinations.
• Maintain strict adherence to site Health & Safety guidelines.

Location & Commute

Situated conveniently in Ashchurch (Tewkesbury) with immediate access to the M5 (Junction 9) and A46.

• Local Commuters: Easily accessible from Cheltenham, Gloucester, Worcester, Evesham, Redditch, and the wider Gloucestershire/Worcestershire area.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must provide proof of the following:

• Qualifications: Valid proof of NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds (or equivalent) Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Experience: Proven background as a Mechanic (Fleet, Commercial, or Ex-Forces/Military vehicle background strongly preferred).
• Clearance: Must be eligible for BPSS Security Clearance (fully sponsored, managed, and paid for by E-ppl).
