Job summary

SMUK is a Midlands-based specialist in commercial vehicle safety systems and fleet technology. We seek a proactive Business Development Manager to own the Midlands territory, identify opportunities and build lasting customer relationships.

You will develop new business with commercial fleet operators, guiding opportunities from initial conversation through to quotation, negotiation and order, while collaborating with Sales, Projects, Engineering and Operations teams.

Qualifications

Proven track record in B2B sales and field sales.
Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
Experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines.

Responsibilities

Identify, target and develop new business opportunities with commercial fleet operators across the Midlands.
Build relationships with Fleet Managers, Transport Managers, dealers and other decision-makers.
Take a consultative approach to understand customer fleet, safety and compliance requirements.
Promote SMUK capabilities to deliver a Total Fleet Solution.
Develop opportunities from engagement through quotation, negotiation and order.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure practical, commercially viable solutions.
Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurate forecasts.
