SANZA Teaching is recruiting a friendly, reliable Midday Supervisor to join an Early Years team in Brent. This role is focused on EYFS pupils and requires active engagement with children during lunchtime and outdoor play. The successful candidate will promote positive behaviour, support social development, and help create a calm, safe lunchtime environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Supervise children at lunch and during playtimes (EYFS).
  • Actively interact with pupils through play, conversation and structured activities.
  • Encourage positive social skills and support basic lunchtime routines.
  • Support some children with eating where appropriate (non-medical assistance).
  • Maintain safety, manage behaviour calmly and follow school routines.
  • Assist with clearing/ tidying after lunch and report any concerns to staff.
  • Adhere to safeguarding and school policies at all times.
  • Enjoys working with young children; confident and proactive in interacting with EYFS pupils.
  • Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude.
  • Good communication skills with children and staff.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willing/able to obtain).
  • Basic understanding of behaviour boundaries and safeguarding (training available if required).
  • Previous experience in schools, nursery, or similar setting.
  • Paediatric first aid or safeguarding training (or willingness to complete).
