Job summary

A leading technology firm in the UK is seeking an experienced Microsoft D365 FSCM HR Lead Functional Consultant. The ideal candidate will possess solid ERP experience, specifically with D365 HR and AX 2012. Key responsibilities include evaluating business processes, managing teams, and ensuring successful project delivery. Strong communication skills and the ability to handle stakeholders at all levels are essential. The role requires participation in key implementations, and the ability to work both remotely and on-site. This position offers a dynamic working environment with regular travel.

Qualifications

  • Solid ERP and preferably D365 HR and AX 2012 functional experience.
  • Experience on at least 3-4 end-to-end implementation projects.

Job description

HCL Tech’s Microsoft Business Applications Practice - (MBAP) is seeking a Microsoft D365 FSCM HR Lead Functional Consultant to join their award-winning and growing team.

The ideal candidate will have worked on Microsoft D365 Finance and AX implementation projects and will have good knowledge of implementation lifecycles from end-to-end. You will be a confident communicator and a good co‑ordinator whilst being able to handle stakeholders at all levels within an organisation.

You should also have experience of managing teams of consultants and will be used to owning elements of the functional design and delivery.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and understand business processes and prepare detailed business requirements and process maps
  • Analyse client requirements and objectives to determine how software can best meet clients’ requirement and objectives
  • Convert Customer requirements to functional specifications and functional design documents
  • Configure, test, and demonstrate all aspects and processes within D365 HR
  • Participate in handling System Acceptance Testing, System Integration Testing, End User Training, UAT, Cutover and Go Live
  • Participate in the definition and configuration of data migration activities for the respective modules and understanding of the underlying data entities that make up the HR modules
  • Participate in the development of functional design documentation and technical specifications, unit and system test scripts, and deployment plans, perform SIT testing
  • Conduct functional testing of modifications and sub‑processes during iterations
  • Design and develop D365 HR solutions for clients making best use of Standard functionality in each respective module
  • Work closely with clients and other team members to define, design, and align the business application to the business requirements
  • Manage and deliver small projects independently and can work productively un‑monitored
  • Lead other consultants in delivering according to client expectations; take ownership of successful completion of deliverables and projects
  • Facilitate functional sessions and weekly status meetings with clients, including the ability to drive a client to decisions
  • Own project deliverables (status reports, documentation, test plans; take personal ownership of the success of deliverables and projects
  • Provide weekly status reporting to Solution Architect, Technical Architect, and Project Management
Skills and Experience
  • Solid ERP and preferably D365 HR and AX 2012 functional experience
Experience Working on Key HR Module Areas
  • Experience on at least 3-4 end to end implementation projects and awareness typical implementation methodologies for Dynamics projects
  • Knowledge and experience of managing D365 Finance HR data migration
  • Excellent communication skills, along with good analysis and documentation skills
  • A positive and can‑do approach
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment

  • Advanced use of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Visio
  • Ability to work remotely and on customer site; regular travel expected
  • Appropriate Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications
  • Experience using DevOps for tracking deliverables, risks, and issues
  • Complete knowledge on various supply chain module enquiry tools and reports
  • Have led a team to deliver a project module solution and deliverable
Qualifications
  • MBA / M. Com / B. Com / B.Tech / B.E or any other equivalent graduation from a reputed university.
  • Should have good hands‑on experience on Dynamics AX 2012 with Dynamics 365 F&O and relevant HR domain expertise would be preferable.
  • You must be eligible for Security Clearance – (NPPV 3 level)
