Job summary

A busy bodyshop group is expanding and looking for an experienced MET Technician in Middlesbrough. The role involves removing and refitting parts, dismantling and rebuilding vehicles, and conducting diagnostics and mechanical work. Ideal candidates have previous experience and relevant qualifications such as ATA/NVQ and ADAS accreditation. The position offers a salary up to £40,000 and benefits including 29 days holiday and a team bonus.

Our client, a busy bodyshop group, is expanding the team in Middlesbrough and is currently looking for an experienced MET Technician.

Key MET Technician / Strip Fitter Roles and Responsibilities
  • Removing and refitting parts to ensure body repairs are to a very high standard
  • Dismantle and rebuild vehicles as instructed
  • Report unseen damage absent from estimate as soon as it is identified
  • 4-wheel alignment, suspension work, GEO, diagnostics and all mechanical work
Ideal Requirements as a MET Technician / Strip Fitter
  • Previous experience as an MET Technician / Strip Fitter
  • ATA/NVQ is advantageous but not essential
  • Hybrid trained
  • ADAS accredited
