Job summary

Holt-Recruitment is supporting a busy bodyshop in the Telford area to recruit an experienced MET Technician / Strip Fitter. You will remove and refit parts to high standards, dismantle and rebuild vehicles, and report unseen damage promptly.

The role covers 4 wheel alignment, suspension work, GEO, diagnostics and general mechanical duties. Benefits include up to £40,000 per annum plus bonus, team bonus, Mon-Fri, 22–26 days holiday, health and pension, with permanent vacancy.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as MET Technician / Strip Fitter
• ATA/NVQ advantageous but not essential
• Mechanical knowledge
• Hybrid Trained

Responsibilities

Our client, who are a busy Bodyshop group are currently looking to expand their team with the addition of an experienced Strip Fit / MET Technician in the Telford area.

Key MET Technician / Strip Fitter Roles and Responsibilities:

• Removing and refitting parts to ensure body repairs are to a very high standard
• Dismantle and rebuild vehicles as instructed
• To report unseen damage, absent from estimate as soon as its identified
• 4 wheel alignment, Suspension work, GEO, diagnostics and all mechanical work

Ideal Requirements as a MET Technician / Strip Fitter:

• Have Previous experience as an MET Technician / Strip Fitter
• ATA/NVQ is advantageous but not essential
• Mechanical knowledge
• Hybrid Trained
