Job summary

Holt Recruitment is assisting a well-equipped bodyshop in Reading to recruit a qualified MET Technician for a permanent role. The position offers a salary of up to £24 per hour with a bonus and company benefits.

The MET Technician will remove and refit parts, dismantle and rebuild vehicles as required, and report any unseen damage beyond the estimate promptly. A strong eye for detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Time served and/or qualified to City & Guilds or NVQ level.
• Previous MET Technician experience required.
• ATA certification is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Remove and refit parts to ensure repairs meet high standards.
• Dismantle and rebuild vehicles as instructed.
• Report unseen damage beyond the estimate as soon as identified.
• Maintain efficiency and meticulous attention to detail; collaborate in a team or work independently.

I am currently working with a highly efficient and well-equipped Bodyshop who are looking to add a qualified MET Technician to their busy site in Reading.

Key MET Technician / Strip Fitter Roles and Responsibilities:

• Removing and refitting parts to ensure body repairs are to a very high standard
• Dismantle and rebuild vehicles as instructed
• To report unseen damage, absent from estimate as soon as its identified
• Have a good level of efficiency and attention to detail
• Be able to work in a team and as an individual

Minimum Requirements as a MET Technician / Strip Fitter:

• Time served and/or qualified to city & guilds or NVQ level
• Have Previous experience as an MET Technician
• ATA is advantageous but not essential
