Job summary

Holt Recruitment is seeking an experienced MET Technician / Strip Fitter for the Telford area. The role involves removing and refitting parts to ensure high-standard body repairs, dismantling and rebuilding vehicles as required, and reporting any unseen damage promptly.

The position covers 4-wheel alignment, suspension work, GEO, diagnostics, and all related mechanical tasks. Monday to Friday with a competitive salary up to £40,000 per annum plus team bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Have previous experience as an MET Technician / Strip Fitter.
• ATA/NVQ is advantageous but not essential.
• Mechanical knowledge required.
• Hybrid trained preferred.

Responsibilities

• Remove and refit parts to ensure high standard body repairs.
• Dismantle and rebuild vehicles as instructed.
• Report unseen damage not in the estimate promptly.
• Perform 4-wheel alignment, suspension work, GEO, diagnostics and related mechanical tasks.

Our client, who are a busy Bodyshop group are currently looking to expand their team with the addition of an experienced Strip Fit / MET Technician in the Telford area.

Key MET Technician / Strip Fitter Roles and Responsibilities:

• Removing and refitting parts to ensure body repairs are to a very high standard
• Dismantle and rebuild vehicles as instructed
• To report unseen damage, absent from estimate as soon as its identified
• 4 wheel alignment, Suspension work, GEO, diagnostics and all mechanical work

Ideal Requirements as a MET Technician / Strip Fitter:

• Have Previous experience as an MET Technician / Strip Fitter
• ATA/NVQ is advantageous but not essential
• Mechanical knowledge
• Hybrid Trained
