Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Mental Health Teaching Assistant for a specialist educational setting in Corby. You will support students with SEMH needs inside and outside the classroom, helping them build confidence and resilience.

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational setting in the Corby area. The Role

As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support both inside and outside of the classroom. You will play an important role in helping pupils develop confidence, resilience and the skills needed to engage positively with education.

• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Anxiety and low self-esteem
• Emotional regulation difficulties
• Behavioural challenges
• Barriers to learning
• Additional educational needs

Your responsibilities will include

• Providing one-to-one and small group support
• Building positive and trusting relationships with students
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and mental health
• Encouraging engagement with learning and school activities
• Assisting students with behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
• Working closely with teachers, pastoral teams and support staff
• Helping to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment
• Supporting students to achieve both academically and personally
