Job summary

Roche is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our Central East UK team covering Grantham to Peterborough. You will install, diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance and provide on-site and remote troubleshooting for high-value diagnostic equipment in NHS, university, and private labs.

You will collaborate with Applications, IT and Engineering specialists, work in a fast-paced environment, and support a 7-day service model to meet patient and customer needs across the region.

Qualifications

• Qualified Engineer with a proven track record servicing high-value capital equipment.
• Education in Electrical, Mechanical or Systems Engineering is highly desirable.
• Customer-centric mindset with ability to navigate matrix environments.
• Willingness to work within a 7-day support model to meet regional needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for complex electrical and mechanical diagnostic equipment.
• Perform fault diagnosis, routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations (on-site and remote).
• Build trust-based relationships with key laboratory personnel and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance operational efficiency and patient care outcomes.
• Offer proactive technical systems support and analytical reviews alongside reactive troubleshooting.
