Overview

Mechanical Site Manager - Hastings, East Sussex - 6 Months - £400/day - Immediate Start

We are working with a well-established M&E contractor who is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to deliver a high-profile healthcare project in Hastings, East Sussex.

This 6-month contract offers stability, a dynamic project environment, and a competitive daily rate of £400.

Responsibilities
  • The Mechanical Site Manager will take full ownership of on-site project delivery for the assigned works, including managing contractor inductions, site set-up, health and safety compliance, RAMS review, programme management, welfare, and local environmental considerations.
  • Oversee permit requests and required isolations.
  • Support and training will be provided by the Senior Project Manager and Health & Safety Manager. Any changes to project scope or requirements will be communicated and supported by the Senior Project Manager and senior client stakeholders.
  • As project volume increases, assess the need for additional agency staff and oversee their performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) are in place and adhered to.
  • Manage pre-starts and project mobilisation, including site logbooks.
  • Oversee COSHH, welfare facilities, and site set-up.
  • Review RAMS and manage permits.
  • Conduct weekly audits to demonstrate compliance with SSOW and RAMS, ensuring works remain aligned with programme milestones.
