Balfour Beatty plc is recruiting a Senior Engineer for the Net Zero Teesside (NZT) project based at the Redcar site. You will lead design and technical support, ensuring safe, innovative solutions while integrating BIM and ground engineering best practices.

You will work with Engineering and Pre-Construction teams to manage workload, assess risks, and drive design governance at pace within a major decarbonisation programme.

Qualifications

• Recognised professional qualification (MICE or MIStructE) and CSCS card.
• Extensive up-to-date knowledge of temporary works design and ground engineering.
• Ability to advise senior management with credible technical leadership.
• Experience with BIM within the design process.

Responsabilités

• Support design strategy and workload management with the Engineering Manager.
• Provide expert technical support to delivery teams.
• Coordinate integration of methods, permanent and temporary works across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ensure design risks are assessed and communicate residual risks.
• Lead design assurance through regular project reviews and share best practices.
• Maintain relationships with technical consultants and suppliers.
• Promote BIM within the design process.
• Encourage learning and sharing of best practice across the business stream.
• Keep project engineering knowledge and standards up to date.
• Carry out technical audits on office and site and close out actions.
• Comply with Construction (Design and Management) regulations.
