Qualifications

Overview

Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our market-leading manufacturing client with their search for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter.

Overall Purpose

  • Reporting to Maintenance Leader and Improvement Engineer the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for set up of clean room equipment to meet production schedule.
  • Carrying out of planned and reactive maintenance on equipment and facilities within the Clean Rooms.
Responsibilities
  • Set up of equipment to meet production schedule.
  • Input to and implementation of the Preventative Maintenance Plan to ensure the safe running of equipment on site.
  • Carrying out of mechanical repair of equipment and facilities within the clean rooms.
  • Liaising with outside contractors for installation, repair and modification of equipment.
  • Co-operate and participate fully in training and development in cross-skilling and other job-related competencies.
  • Clear and concise reporting of all maintenance work carried, faults found, modifications, etc. within the Maintenance Management System.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to an agreed upon specification to ensure the high quality of products required for the medical industry.
  • Promote and practice safe working practices.
  • To work with minimal supervision to achieve tasks at a high standard.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • Have a time served apprenticeship or equivalent certificate/diploma in an engineering discipline.
  • Previous experience in the fault finding and repair of manufacturing machinery and equipment.
  • Hold a relevant certificate in the use of machining i.e. Milling, Turning or equivalent experience would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Electrical knowledge would be advantageous but not essential.
