Job summary

A leading engineering company in Motherwell is seeking 2x Time-Served Mechanical Fitters. You will craft precise vacuum furnace equipment from various materials. Must have a solid mechanical background, skills in assembly, and a forklift or scissor lift license is preferred. This role offers an hourly rate of £18.02 with opportunities for overtime and travel across the UK or abroad.

Job description

We’re on the hunt for 2x Time-Served Mechanical Fitters who don’t just build — they craft. If you’ve got a solid mechanical background and a passion for precision, we want to hear from you.

Join a team where your skills in fitter assembly will bring bespoke vacuum furnace equipment to life. From mild steel to stainless and copper, your hands will shape the heart of our systems. Bonus points if you can braze, weld, or whisper sweet nothings to a hydraulic circuit.

You’ll be assembling and testing everything from:

• Water manifolds and pump skids
• Pneumatic lines and air islands
• Vacuum pipelines and components
• Inert gas systems
• Precision furnace components

We’re looking for someone meticulous, flexible, and ready to grow. If you can read engineering drawings like poetry and have a forklift or scissor lift licence — even better. Confined spaces? No problem. Field work across the UK or abroad? Adventure awaits.

Workshop-based (with travel), 38 hours/week

£18.02/hour (Overtime available + International Uplift)
