Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to be based at Latton - Cirencester. You will inspect, maintain, diagnose faults, test, install, modify or repair mechanical and electrical plant while working with minimum supervision to keep sites operational for customers.

You will support a safe, efficient operation and contribute to reducing environmental impact across Thames Water sites, with a generous benefits package and opportunities for overtime and standby payments.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprentice with significant experience in electrical systems.
• Upskilled with a mechanical qualification is a plus.
• Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled planned maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Investigate plant failures and carry out quick repairs to minimise process interruptions.
• Provide technical advice and training to technical trainees when required.
• Work on pumps, motors, starters, VSDs, controls, valves and dosing equipment.
• Participate in standby rota following training.
