Zusammenfassung

Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Technician to maintain and repair mechanical and electrical plant at our Latton site near Cirencester. The role requires diagnosing faults, testing equipment, installing and modifying systems to keep our sites operational and compliant with safety standards.

You will work on pumps, motors, control gear, VSDs, valves, PLCs, and dosing equipment, with a standby rota and ongoing training.

Qualifikationen

• You must have an electrical apprenticeship or equivalent with upskill in mechanical NVQ2/3.
• Time‑served apprenticeship with significant experience in electrical systems in a true multi‑skilled capacity.
• Ideal upskilling with a mechanical qualification to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair mechanical and electrical plant safely and efficiently.
• If you have mechanical or electrical experience only, we will look to develop you to dual‑skilled status.
• Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues are crucial.
• Work in confined spaces with appropriate training.
• A valid driving license is essential; vehicle and tools are provided.

Aufgaben

• Carry out scheduled maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment in line with procedures to minimise plant breakdowns.
• Investigate plant failures and perform repairs quickly to avoid process interruptions.
• Provide technical advice and training support for technical trainees when required.
• Work on pumps, motors, control gear, 3‑phase motors, starters, VSDs, valves, PLCs, and dosing equipment.
• Participate in a standby rota following training.
