Job summary

Pertemps Thames Water is seeking a skilled Mechanical & Electrical Technician for our Latton site in Cirencester (GL7 5QF). You will inspect, maintain, diagnose faults, test, install, and repair mechanical and electrical plant with minimal supervision to keep sites operational for our customers.

The role requires a time-served apprenticeship with electrical qualifications and upskilling in mechanical NVQ2/3. A valid driving license is essential and a van is provided when on duty.

Qualifications

• Must have electrical apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Upskilled with mechanical NVQ2/3 is crucial.
• Time-served apprenticeship with significant electrical experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment to minimise breakdowns.
• Investigate plant failures and perform repairs to avoid process interruptions.
• Provide technical advice and training to trainees when required.
• Work on pumps, control gear, 3‑phase motors, VSDs, valves, and dosing equipment.
• Participate in standby rota after training.
